PCOU 5063 - COMMUNITY COUNSELING

This course examines counseling practices in relation to adults, children and adolescents in the community setting and the role and function of the counselor as a partner in the community. Focus is on available resources, developmental needs, and age-related issues. Special problems of physical and sexual abuse, substance abuse, suicide and grief are examined.
