MUSC 3952 - METHODS OF TEACHING MUSIC IN MIDDLE/SECONDARY SCHOOLS


A course for music education majors to prepare the student for specialized music teaching in the middle grades (5-9) and secondary (6-12) schools. Emphasis is placed on developing and evaluating music curriculum, lesson planning, and selection and utilization of methods, instructional materials and technology. The course includes field-based experiences.
