CRIM 2523 - VICTIMOLOGY This course introduces the field of victimology and examines the relationships between the victim and the offender, the victim and society, and the victim within the criminal justice system. Theoretical explanations for victimization, along with the evolution of the victims’ rights movement are studied. Policies and procedures that have resulted from increased attention towards victims of crime will be reviewed and discussed as they pertain to practical application.
