The Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a Concentration in Criminal Justice is a 36-semester hour degree specifically designed for law enforcement individuals and members who desire a broad-based MBA that builds upon their real-life experiences and challenges. Critical leadership elements of ethics, leadership, communication, and decision making form the foundation upon which the Criminal Justice courses build a degree that equips individuals for advanced leadership positions within criminal justice or related fields of service. Students also learn to forecast, evaluate, and solve problems in a decision-making framework. Through the use of cases, computer simulations, library resources, and decision software and tools students will:

  • Develop the tools of analysis, synthesis and problem formulation and learn to make intelligent, informed, ethical professional decisions.
  • Develop leadership skills through activities that expose students to the thoughts of practicing professional leaders. Integrate the practice of leadership with Biblically informed values.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of both the theory and practice of the criminal justice system.
  • Apply acquired leadership skills in real-word situations.
  • Develop usable management skills which require the application of theory to practical law enforcement problems.
  • Research contemporary law enforcement issues and communicate results through clear, concise, and appropriate media.
