SOWK 2021 - FIELD OBSERVATION IN HUMAN SERVICES This course is a course designed to provide students with exposure to various social service agencies and the populations they serve. Through observation, job shadowing, and supervised learning experiences, the student acquires knowledge about how social service agencies function, populations served, the roles and functions of social workers in the delivery of social services and how social problems are addressed at micro, mezzo, and macro levels. Students are required to serve a minimum of 40 hours for a one hour credit.
