SOWK 4003 - SPECIAL TOPICS: HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN AMERICA This course is designed to give an overview of human trafficking in America. Emphasis is placed on helping students become aware of the various types of human trafficking, current statistics concerning populations that are most affected, adn hidden aspects of human trafficking. The course explores the origins of human trafficking in America and reasons it has become one of the fastest growing criminal industries in the world. Students will be challenged to engage in ministries that are using various Biblical responses to advocate and fight for the social justice and freedom of those held captive.
