NURS 4204 - MEDICAL-SURGICAL NURSING II This course builds on student competencies developed in NURS 3143 Medical-Surgical I. Evidence-based nursing care appropriate for adults with intermediate to complex medical-surgical conditions are addressed, with particular emphasis on acute conditions such as shock and multiple organ dysfunction, acute respiratory distress or failure or other conditions requiring critical care intervention. Emergency nursing and disaster nursing will also be explored.
