HCAD 5653 - HEALTHCARE LAW, ACCREDITATIONS, & QUALITY METHODS

Students will study the legal side of healthcare, the benefits and detriments of accreditation and network alliances, and those trends that continue to change, affecting quality measurement across the industry. Six Sigma and similar measures will be explored for adherence to quality standards. Consistent use of moral judgments abound as trends and quality standards shift. Students’ specific interests in healthcare issues will result in preliminary research to start developing a basis for their final project in the Applied Healthcare Management Capstone.
