DCOM 3153 - INTERPRETING NARRATIVES AND IDEOLOGIES This course concentrates on how the mass media create and deliver stories to impact individuals and society. Students study narrative theory, media ethics, and criticism models. Emphasis is given to understanding what Hollywood teaches theologically, how mass media stories shape modern culture, and then how students must analyze their own media consumption and create stories for moral purposes.
