CRIM 3303 - JUVENILE DELINQUENCY This course covers the types of delinquency as well as supporting theories. Particular attention will be given to the role of family, school, and the peer group in promoting delinquency. The effects of social institutions on delinquency, prevention, and control are also studied. The juvenile justice system is compared to the adult system and the social consequences of delinquency are studied. This course will provide students with the tools to analyze and evaluate juvenile justice policies and programs.
