CRIM 3403 - AMERICAN CRIMINAL COURTS This course examines the court system in the United States and provides an introduction to the many elements of the judicial process. Major topics include: the role of the courts, trial procedures, role of decision makers in the court system, the distinctions between civil and criminal systems, the alternatives available to the accused prior to trial proceedings, and public policy as it relates to the court system.
