HCAD 5643 - HEALTHCARE INFORMATION & TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT

This class will cover how Information Technology is used in a healthcare setting. Control of private information is important.  Therefore special attention will be paid to HIPPA and government policy regarding healthcare. How the information is managed and reported is crucial for evaluation against organizational objectives, as well as for comparison among care providers. Here, continual technology upgrade is crucial to meet the needs of new millennial healthcare and the crises it faces.  A biblical worldview will be integrated.
