SOWK 5523 - SOCIAL WORK PRACTICE IN FORENSICS This practice course in forensics prepares students to practice ethically within the criminal justice and legal systems by engaging in multi-disciplinary practice with professionals from public health, health care, mental health, education, and social service systems. The theoretical foundation includes systems theory, empowerment approach, human rights, and social justice perspectives. Course content focuses on multi-level prevention, assessment, and interventions with disproportionately represented populations.
