EDUC 3243 - TEACHING SOCIAL SCIENCE IN SEC SCH

This course is a study of strategies, techniques, materials, technology, and current research used in the teaching of social science concepts to high school students. Students will review the traditional and contemporary standards involved in teaching social sciences at the secondary school level; develop an awareness of the professional resources, materials, technology and information available for teachers; prepare unit lesson plans with related assessment procedures on a variety of topics.
