EDUC 2131 - FIELD STUDY 1

In this course, students will be placed in a K-12 setting in area public schools to complete tasks in the field that are directly tied to Florida’s Accomplished Practices, Competencies, and Skills for Teachers. This course is designed to allow students multiple opportunities to observe K-12 settings (approximately 30 hours) and participate in low-level classroom tasks in the K-12 setting. The College of Education will work cooperatively with schools to place students in schools/classrooms according to the students’ major/grade level preference. As part of the course requirements, students must pass the General Knowledge Test (GKT) and provide documentation to the College of Education before the end of the course.
