THEO 3003 - EARLY FATHERS This course offers an opportunity to master selections from the theological literature of the early Church Fathers (especially from the Greek and Syriac East) in which important issues such as God, Christology, images, and the incorporation of philosophy in a larger Christian wisdom were treated. Readings include texts and selections taken from the theologians of the first millennium including St. Anselm, the Apostolic Fathers, St. Cyril of Alexandria, St. Irenaeus, St. Cyril of Jerusalem, Dionysius of Alexandria, St. Basil, St. Melito, St. Athanasius, St. Gregory the Great, St. Leo, and Boethius.
