MATH 2003 - STATISTICS This course is an introduction to statistical problem solving and methodology. Topics include representations of univariate and bivariate data; designed methods for data collection and the role of randomness in statistical studies; probability, statistical distributions, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing; and statistical estimation and significance. Emphasis will be on conceptual understanding and interpretation of results rather than theoretical development. Learning experiences will include investigations, dialogues, proofs, and applications.
