LDRS 2043 - MENTORING

This course provides an overview of the ministry practice and process of mentoring. Students explore core characteristics of mentoring through biblical and theological perspectives, including the vision of God as Storyteller and the mentor as a co-reader of God’s story. Students will also gain personal self-awareness by applying selected mentoring tools in a mentoring relationship, such as utilizing a life map and understanding their own family of origin. Finally, students will engage in a mentoring relationship where they practice applying basic components of a mentoring relationship.
