LANG 1123 - CLASSICA GREEK I: GRAMMAR &TEXTS Classica Greek I is an introductory course designed for students eager to explore the foundations of classical Attic Greek, the language of renowned philosophers, playwrights, and historians such as Plato, Sophocles, and Herodotus. Students will
acquire a solid understanding of the Greek alphabet, essential grammar rules, and a foundational vocabulary. Emphasis will be placed on developing reading and writing skills, focusing on authentic ancient Greek texts. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to read and translate simple passages from classical Greek literature.
