LANG 3083 - CLASSICA HEBREW TEXTUAL TRADITIONS

Students will embark on a scholarly exploration of Classica Hebrew Textual and delve into the complex interplay of influences from the Masoretic, Septuagint, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and proto-Hebrew of recent archaeological findings. Building on students’ foundational knowledge of Hebrew, this course invites them to engage deeply with the dynamic history of the Hebrew Bible, examining textual variations, linguistic developments, and the impact of ancient manuscripts on the transmission of sacred texts.
