The Pre-Licensure BSN program is designed for students who hold no professional nursing degree or license and want to become professional nurses.
Southeastern University’s College of Natural and Health Sciences awards the degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Upon completion of the nursing program, students meet the educational qualifications of the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON) to apply for the NCLEX-RN (national) licensure exam in the state of their choice. Students who pass this examination will then be licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse (RN) by the particular state wherein they selected to take the examination.

The RN-BSN track provides registered nurses a plan of study (POS) leading to the completion of a BSN degree. This post-licensure track is designed to build on the nurse’s prior knowledge from their Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) education, including arts, sciences, and humanities courses, and enhances the nurse’s knowledge and practice. Each student’s POS is individualized and flexible according to their personal, professional, and educational needs, allowing students to take one or more courses every eight weeks. Students will transfer or complete lower-division courses, including arts, sciences, and humanities in any sequence preferred, prior to taking the final upper-division (NURS 4502) Nursing Capstone course. Students may integrate lower-division courses with upper-division courses as necessary.
