Choose One Humanities Elective from the Following - 3 Hours
Choose One Literature Elective from the Following - 3 Hours
History and Government - 3 Hours
Select one of the following: Natural Science - 4 Hours
Theology Elective - 3 Hours
Select one of the following: Pre-Biology Core - 20 Hours
A student desiring to declare a major in either General Biology or Biology/Pre-Medicine must first complete the Pre-Biology Core courses with a “C-” or better, and must select the Pre-BIology Program for freshmen and sophomores until these courses have been successfully completed. Some of these courses are cross-referenced as General Education Core Requirements.
Biology Core Studies - 21 Hours
Students are required to earn a grade of “C-” or better in all Biology and Pre-Med courses.
Biology Specialization - Minimum of 17 Hours from the Following
Students may enroll for two different Special Topics ( BIOL 4633, 4643 or 4653 ) courses to count towards the required 17 hours.
Chemistry and Physics - 25 Hours
Students are required to earn a grade of “C-” or better in all Chemistry and Physics courses.
Total Program Hours - 135 Hours
Concentration in Biomedical Sciences
Please note that these must be courses in addition to those of a required major or minor—i.e. a student cannot use a course to fulfill both a requirement of his/her major and a requirement of this particular concentration.

Concentration in Pre-Veterinary
Minimum of 4 Hours from the Following Courses:
Please note that BIOL 2403 & BIOL 240L will not count toward a Biology or Biology/PreMed major. They are not Biology Specialization courses. For those degrees, they count as electives.
