The Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences offers a program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology for students who plan to enter more directly into the career world. The objectives of this program are expressed as follows:

To give students a basic foundation in psychological and integrational principles.

To assist students in the integration of sound psychology and their Christian faith.

To prepare students to serve where counseling and human relations are essential functions.

To prepare students for a number of paraprofessional fields requiring a psychology or behavioral science degree.

To prepare students for graduate programs necessary to enter their professions.

A minimum of a master’s degree is required at the entry level into the field of professional psychology and counseling. The Bachelor’s of Science degree will prepare one for a number of paraprofessional areas.
