Program Overview
The M.S in Kinesiology is a 33-semester-hour degree that will academically prepare students for careers in the field of Kinesiology. Students will learn how the many facets of Kinesiology intersect in areas of Sport Science, Physical Education and Coaching, Sport Administration, Sport Ministry, and Strength Training Performance. Since courses are individually designed to meet the needs of each student, assignments allow students to focus on their specific area of interest for course projects, field experiences, and research assignments.
Admission Requirements
- Earned bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 from a regionally accredited institution
or
- Prior earned graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution
- A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and 3 years of experience in the field of Kinesiology
and
- Resume

Additional Requirements
Students are required to complete the following prior to conferring of the Master’s degree in Kinesiology:
- Successfully complete a graduate thesis
OR
- Successfully complete a capstone project based on your area of specialization
Non-Degree Seeking
Students with prior bachelor’s degree may take certain courses as a non-degree seeking student with advanced approval by program faculty. This may appeal to those that need further graduate hours or research in courses related to Sport Ministry, Sport Law, or Biomechanical Lab Performance.
