Bachelor of Arts in English and Intercultural Studies Degree Audit
The English and Intercultural Studies major seeks to provide students with a basic foundation for teaching English overseas and ministering in diverse cultures. Intensive study in English and Intercultural Studies equips students with the knowledge, skills, and classroom experiences to become a successful English language teacher or continue graduate training as a professional linguist. The program assists students in developing a worldview, cultural understanding, and approach to life based on biblical Christianity. Students in this program receive professional preparation and credentialing for a career in TESOL or linguistics. This major produces highly qualified English language instructors for intensive English programs, English language schools, and adult ESL basic education programs both stateside and overseas. The EIS major also provides a strong preparation for graduate study in linguistics.
