Program Description

This program certifies that students who complete the designated course of study with letter grades of “C” or above are equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and experiences to successfully and competently teach English to speakers of other languages and assess their proficiency in comprehending and producing written and oral English.

*EIS majors will automatically be awarded the TESOL Certificate upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Arts in English and Intercultural Studies, which includes the following courses in its degree requirements.
