Program Description
The extension site Associate of Ministerial Leadership degree program prepares students for ministry leadership—in local churches, faith-based non-profit organizations, and other ministry contexts—through an interdisciplinary curriculum of courses in foundational core (i.e., English, psychology, math, science, etc.), Bible, theology, ministry, and ministry practicum. Students who complete this degree program will be able to:
 
  1. Properly use hermeneutical tools to exegete and apply the Bible in ministry contexts
  2. Analyze and apply basic Christian theology in ministry contexts
  3. Construct and present expository sermons in ministry contexts
  4. Integrate their biblical interpretation, theological, leadership, and Christian ministry competencies in ministry contexts
 
Students who complete the degree program satisfies the educational requirements for Assemblies of God ministerial credentials. All courses are transferrable into the Bachelor of Science in Ministerial Leadership program.

Ministry Practicum and General Electives - 12 Credit Hours


*Extension Site students participate in on-site ministry practicums each semester (3 hours each semester) over a two year period. These practicums count towards the general elective requirement.

Total Program Hours - 62 Credit Hours
