Southeastern University’s Associate of Arts in Education (AA in Education) degree is designed for students who wish to acquire skills that are both foundational and will prepare them for opportunities in the field of education. This program consists of 62 credit hours. Over the course of three 16-week semesters, students will complete 47 credit hours of general education courses and 15 credit hours of education courses such as content and instructional design for educators, educational psychology, and children’s literature and development. (Please note that graduating from this program does not certify students as licensed educators in the state of Florida. However, it serves as an excellent segue into SEU’s bachelor of science in education degrees, which prepare students for state certification.)
