Bachelor of Arts, Music (Four-Year Plan)
You must pass all Music Department courses with a C- or higher.
The Bachelor of Arts in Music is a flexible degree program designed to give students the opportunity to pursue the skills necessary for professional work as a vocal or instrumental performer. Students in this program work closely with faculty to develop the tools to be successful in their chosen path in music. The program emphasizes pertinent and real world skills in performance, composition, recording technology, and more, all while developing a strong grasp on music theory, music history, and ear training.
Students needing developmental assistance in piano skills will be required to take class piano for three semesters or until able to pass piano proficiency exam. These courses count as elective credit. Class Piano courses are 1 credit.
