Bachelor of Arts Film Production Four Year Plan  

 

Program Description

The Film Production degree emphasizes the principles and best practices of film production. The film production core includes various courses related to filmmaking and storytelling, including classes on narrative, cinematography, screenwriting, and editing; students also select a few film electives (such as those focused on audio, screen acting, or motion graphics). Students critically analyze and produce various films (including documentaries and short films), co-curricular productions, and portfolio and capstone projects in courses and for the annual film festival. 

Potential Career Options

Potential career options for those pursuing this degree include director, producer, director of photography (cinematographer), script supervisor, film editor, screenwriter, actor, and other film-related careers.

Intermediate Language - 6 Credit Hours


Language Requirement (Intermediate Level; Beginning Level prerequisites are placed in general electives) - 6 Hrs 

Students who demonstrate proficiency at the Intermediate B level may take 6 additional hours of General Electives.
