Bachelor of Arts, Visual Arts: Digital Arts (Four-Year Plan)  


Program Description

The Visual Arts degree with the Digital Arts track emphasizes the principles and best practices of the visual arts. The core includes courses focused on drawing, digital design, color theory, painting, and art history. The digital arts track includes courses on motion graphics, digital imaging, illustration, and other forms of digital art. Students critically analyze and produce various artworks in courses, practicums, junior studio, and as part of portfolio and capstone projects. 

Potential Career Options 

Potential career options for those pursuing this degree include visual artist (with specialties in drawing or painting), motion graphic artist, font designer, photo retouching specialist, digital illustrator, photographer, and other visual arts- and digital arts-related careers.

Intermediate Language - 6 Credit Hours

Language Requirement (Intermediate Level; Beginning Level prerequisites are placed in general electives) - 6 Hrs 

Students who demonstrate proficiency at the Intermediate B level may take 6 additional hours of General Electives.
