Bachelor of Science, Secondary English Four-Year Plan
The Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education (English Concentration) at Southeastern University prepares graduates to teach 6th through 12th-grade students to become critical readers and effective writers, equipping them with knowledge of different cultures, empathy for others, and a critical perspective about themselves. Through hands-on coursework, you’ll read classic British and American works along with contemporary and adolescent literature, gaining lecture and peer discussion techniques to teach these works and other relevant selections. Your degree will culminate in the completion of a semester-long student teaching internship, where you’ll plan and teach the curriculum as well as manage and assess learners.
