Bachelor of Science, Communication Sciences & Disorders Four-Year Plan  

Department of Natural Sciences Guidelines and Policies:

122 hours needed. A minimum grade of C- is required in all religion, professional or specialization education courses. (Student must complete all listed required courses & the remaining course credits must be met in general electives in order to meet the total program hours. Catalog requires a minimum of 0 elective hours for this program.)

 

  1. No grade lower than a “C” in any general education course; professional education course, or specialization course;
  2. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 for all general education courses;
  3. Minimum grade of “B” in Fundamentals of Speech;

Foundational Core - 55 Credit Hours


Engaging Human Culture and the Natural World - 22 Credit Hours


Natural Science with Lab - 4 Credit Hours


Behavioral Science - 3 Credit Hours


Physical Science - Select One (1) Course from the Following - 3 Credit Hours


Social Science - Select One (1) Course from the Following - 3 Credit Hours


Historical Perspective - Select One (1) Course from the Following - 3 Credit Hours

General Electives - 15 Credit Hours


Transfer students must take 12 hours as outlines by ASHA; one 3 hour course in each area of biological/behavioral sciences, social sciences, and physical sciences as well as probability and statistics. If these courses are satisfied within the general core, students may select complimentary interdisciplinary courses in areas of interest.
