Bachelor of Science, Communication & Mass Media Four Year Plan

Program Description

The Communication & Mass Media degree emphasizes the principles and best practices of mass-mediated communication and human communication. The 31-credit communication core focuses on various types of communication (interpersonal, intercultural, and organizational), storytelling, and analysis of the mass media (courses including the theory, law, and the writing aspects of mass media). The 12 hours of broadening electives allow for students to broaden their learning and perspectives with internships and courses focused on topics including design thinking, visual storytelling, and digital marketing. Students also select 9 hours of technical skills electives related to digital design and visual communication.
