Bachelor of Science, Political Science Four-Year Plan
Through the Political Science degree, students will assess the internal and external constructs of American government, international aid agencies, and non-profit organizations. With a 48 credit hour core requirement, students participate in courses that outline and explore the historical, theoretical, and practical aspects of politics.. Additionally, students will work in conjunction with an assigned faculty advisor to develop a six-hour internship experience. This requirement is designed to introduce students to the experiential side of politics.
This degree seeks to prepare and equip students for careers in the private and public sectors of politics, both domestically and internationally. Upon graduation, students will have specific knowledge in identifying judicial and constitutional principles, applied skills in writing policy proposals and legislative briefs, and employment experience through internship opportunities and professional networking.
