Bachelor of Fine Arts, Film Production and Storytelling (Four-year Plan)
Program Description
The Film Production & Storytelling program emphasizes the principles and best practices of film production and narrative. The communication and storytelling core focuses on the structure and function of stories and how they can be persuasive or informative. In the larger film production and storytelling core, students are guided to become filmmakers. Courses include those focused on narrative structure in film, digital video editing, producing, directing, cinematography, audio production, screenwriting, and film history. Students learn to critically analyze films and produce engaging, interesting, well-produced, and edifying films. The film electives available include courses focused on documentary filmmaking, cinematic design, and two study abroad opportunities.

Potential career options for those pursuing this degree include director, producer, director of photography (cinematographer), script supervisor, film editor, screenwriter, actor, and other film-related careers.
