Bachelor of Science, Commercial Music Four Year Plan
Music majors must pass all music courses with a C- or higher.
The Commercial Music program equips students to become multi-faceted 21st century musicians. Commercial music majors take classes that will provide them with foundational knowledge in songwriting, studio recording, live sound technology, copyright law, performance, and more. The goal is to produce well-rounded contemporary musicians who are equipped to generate revenue from multiple musical sources. Potential careers include performer, live sound technician, music producer, artist management, and more.

General Electives are any college-level courses that do not satisfy specific program requirements. To meet the Divine Design core requirements, students may declare minors, enroll in elective credit, and enjoy experiential learning like study abroad, internships, or practicum. Practicum course options include PRAC 1001 (1 credit hour), PRAC 1002 (2 credit hours), PRAC 1003 (3 credit hours), PRAC 1004 (4 credit hours). Students may earn up to 24 credit hours toward their degree program through experiential learning practicum. |
