NURS 3144 - MEDICAL-SURGICAL NURSING I This course introduces students to the care of patients with chronic medical-surgical conditions related to cardiac, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, reproductive, musculoskeletal, sensory, and endocrine problems. This course prepares students to develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based nursing care to adults with simple to intermediate needs that can be met in acute and long-term care settings or in the home environment.
