NURS 3124 - APPLIED PHARMACOLOGY


This course prepares students to integrate pharmacologic principles into the care of patients and to administer drugs with consideration to safety, lifespan, cultural, legal and ethical implications. Drugs affecting cardiac, renal, respiratory, endocrine, gastrointestinal, reproductive, and central/autonomic nervous systems, as well as anti-infective, anti-inflammatory and chemotherapeutic agents are presented. Relevant nursing interventions, including patient education, are emphasized.
