ECED 4221 - FIELD STUDY 3


In this course, students will be placed in a K-12 setting within Polk County Public Schools to complete tasks in the field that are directly tied to Florida teaching Accomplished Practices and Competencies and Skills.  This course is designed to allow students multiple opportunities to observe and interact with teachers and students in the K-12 setting (approximately 60 hours) and participate in classroom tasks such as using data to drive lesson planning, parent communication, and classroom management planning in the K-12 setting.  The College of Education will work cooperatively with Polk County Public Schools to place students in schools/classrooms according to the students’ major/grade level preference. As part of the course requirements, students must pass the Subject Area Exam (SAE) and provide documentation to the College of Education before the end of the course.
