EDUC 5083 - TEACHING ELEMENTARY SOCIAL STUDIES

This course emphasizes themes in social studies, theories of learning, teaching strategies, and ways to connect social studies to the world beyond the classroom. The course is also designed to meet the National Board of Professional Teachers Standards (NBPTS), facilitate the completion of the teaching portfolio for NBPTS, and pass the NBPTS exams leading to Middle Childhood Generalist certification.
