HRDV 3043 - HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT

This course equips students with models that foster dignity rather than dependency and empowerment rather than entitlement. Students will learn how to partner with local churches and other stakeholders, assess community assets and needs, and formulate responsible approaches to community development. This introductory course on holistic development carefully builds a biblical view of poverty and a theology of responsible aid in the context of various real-world development topics. Students will also expand and deepen their understanding through service learning opportunities.
