CHEM 3104 - BIOLOGICA MOLECULAR: BIOCHEMISTRY This course considers the structures and functions of organisms, tissues, and cells at the molecular level. The course emphasizes the study of biomolecules, such as nucleic acids, lipids, proteins, and carbohydrates, and their significance in cellular processes. Additionally, the course covers topics related to cell signaling, hormones, and the Krebs cycle. Students will explore the different levels of protein structure and learn about enzymes, their catalytic properties, and the factors that influence enzyme activity. The course examines various cellular processes, including cell signaling and the role of hormones in coordinating physiological responses. This course integrates modeling and experimental dialectic laboratory experiences.
