HUMS 1223 - THE GOOD LIFE In this course, students will explore the concept of the “good life” through the lens of biblical wisdom, examining how the good news of Scripture shapes our understanding of fulfillment, virtue, purpose, and human flourishing. Students will compare this vision of the good life to alternative systems of thought, especially those embodied in the secular version of the so-called “American dream.” Together, students will engage with biblical principles on happiness, love, justice, mercy, and wisdom, while considering how these principles inform their relationships, work, and service to both local and global communities.
