A Student desiring to declare a major in either General Biology or Biology/Pre-Medicine must first complete the Pre-Biology Core studies with a “C-” or better, and must select the Pre-Biology Program for freshmen and sophomores until these courses have been successfully completed. Some of these courses are cross-referenced as General Education Core Requirements.
Biology Specialization - Minimum of 17 Hours from the Following:
*Students may enroll for two different Special Topics ( BIOL 4633, 4643 or 4653) courses to count towards the required 17 hours.
*The two Science Field Study courses can range in credit hours (1 – 4 credits) depending on extent of research. Department Chair &/or Dean approval required for enrollment.
