Program Description

The Communication degree with the track in Broadcast & Digital Production emphasizes the principles and best practices of communication and broadcasting. The communication core focuses on effective communication, storytelling, and analysis of the mass media. The broadcasting & digital production track includes practical skills in topics such as audio and video production; radio, television, and podcasting; directing, and producing. Students critically analyze mass-mediated content; they also produce audio and video content in courses, co-curricular productions, and portfolio and capstone projects.

 

Potential Career Options

Potential career options for those pursuing this degree include producer, director, on-air talent, broadcast/digital reporter, radio DJ, podcaster, post-production video editor, and other broadcasting- and digital production-related careers.
