The Doctor of Missiology program is a 30-credit hour program intended to enhance the missiological practice of leaders with a master’s degree and significant global ministry experience. The Doctor of Missiology is the highest degree for those leading in such missional contexts and is the ultimate step for those called to develop their divine design to serve Christ and the world through Spirit-empowered life, learning, and leadership. The program requires significant research, experiential components, and individualized, contextual instruction. The degree includes a doctoral-level project that addresses both the nature and practice of missiology, increasing their effectiveness in respective global missional leadership ecosystems.

Through this program, students will formulate a comprehensive and critical understanding of missiology in which theory and practice interactively inform and enhance each other. They will develop and acquire skills and competencies, including methods of research, that are required for missional leadership at its most mature and effective level. Students will contribute to the understanding and practice of missiology through the completion of a doctoral-level project that contributes new knowledge and
understanding of the practice of missional leadership, as well as foster spiritual, professional, and vocational competencies that enable maturation of appropriate values and practices for the missional leader within the diverse cultural, religious, and linguistic contexts of ministry.

The minimum GPA requirement is 3.0. Grades of less than C- will not be counted toward degree completion.
