The extension site Associate of Ministerial Leadership degree program prepares students for ministry leadership—in local churches, faith-based non-profit organizations, and other ministry contexts—through an interdisciplinary curriculum of courses in foundational core (i.e., English, psychology, math, science, etc.), Bible, theology, ministry, and ministry practicum.
Students who complete this degree program will be able to:

Properly use hermeneutical tools to exegete and apply the Bible in ministry contexts

Analyze and apply basic Christian theology in ministry contexts

Construct and present expository sermons in ministry contexts

Integrate their biblical interpretation, theological, leadership, and Christian ministry competencies in ministry contexts
Students who complete the degree program satisfies the educational requirements for Assemblies of God ministerial credentials. All courses are transferrable into the Bachelor of Science in Ministerial Leadership program.
*Note: Students taking courses online outside of the State of Florida may be subject to additional Foundational Core requirements for degree completion. State-specific requirements are specified in the SEU Catalog. Your Academic Advisor is available to help integrate these additional courses into your plan.
Dual-enrolled students are limited to completing their Divine Design requirement through general elective courses only.

Total Program Hours - 60 Credit Hours
** It is the responsibility of the student to read, review, and fulfill the requirements and total hours of this degee audit for their applicable degree.
Foundational Core - 25 Credit Hours
Major Core - 18 Credit Hours
Divine Design (Major Specific Experiential Learning) - 6 Credit Hours
Divine Design - 11 Credit Hours
To meet the Divine Design requirement, students may earn credit hours in general elective courses, declared minors/certificates, or enjoy other experiential learning opportunities such as study abroad, internships, or practicums. Other practicum options include (1 credit hour), (2 credit hours), (3 credit hours), (4 credit hours), and (3 credit hours) up to a total of 24 credit hours. General Electives are any college-level course that does not satisfy the above program requirements. Students must complete the above program requirements with the remaining credit hours earned in the Divine Design to meet the total program hours.
Additional State Requirements for Online or Partner Site Students
*Note: Students taking courses online/at an SEU partner site outside of the State of Florida may be subject to additional Foundational Core requirements for degree completion. Some of these requirements are built into your Foundational Core listed above. Any of the requirements listed below that are not incorporated into the Foundational Core will count towards your Divine Design hours. State-specific requirements are also specified in the SEU Catalog. Please see your Degree Audit in JICS and work with your Academic Advisor to ensure these requirements are met.
