Bachelor of Science, Worship Studies Four Year Plan
Music majors must pass all music courses with a C- or higher.
The Worship Studies program is designed specifically for those called to serve the church through music. This program prepares students for the demands of service as a worship leader, worship pastor, music director, or other related music ministry position specifically in the instruction of various styles of contemporary and traditional music. The audio technology, music theory, instrumental, and vocal techniques taught here equip students with the skills they need to confidently fulfill various roles upon graduation.

Worldview Formation - 9 Credit Hours
Habits of Inquiry - 22 Credit Hours
Discursive Inquiry - 6 Credit Hours
Natural-Scientific Inquiry - 4 Credit Hours; Select One with Lab:
Quantitative Inquiry - 3 Credit Hours; Select One:

Major Core - 49 Credit Hours
Applied Lessons (6 Credit Hours)
Four Semesters of Lessons at 1000 Level, and Two Semesters of Lessons at 3000 Level. *Primary Instrument Lessons.
Large Ensemble (4 Credit Hours)
Four Semesters of at least One Large Ensemble.
Divine Design - 37 Credit Hours
To meet the Divine Design requirement, students may earn credit hours in general elective courses, declared minors/certificates, or enjoy other experiential learning opportunities such as study abroad, internships, or practicums. Other practicum options include PRAC 1001 (1 credit hour), PRAC 1002 (2 credit hours), PRAC 1003 (3 credit hours), PRAC 1004 (4 credit hours), up to 24 credit hours. General Electives are any college-level course that does not satisfy the above program requirements. Students must complete the above program requirements with the remaining credit hours earned in the Divine Design to meet the total program hours.
