BS Construction Technology

Students will be able to read, understand, and interpret the architects’ design intent on construction drawings and specifications, as well as be able to research and interpret typical construction building codes to maintain design and local code compliance.

Students will gain an introductory level understanding of construction layout and surveying, understand and execute a project quantitative takeoff and cost estimate, as well as prepare and submit a written proposal for the project.

Students will be able to communicate all levels of the construction process and develop a written narrative and project schedule for communication to all parties.

Students will be able to make management level decisions pertaining to all phases of the construction process inclusive of financial intricacies of construction agreements and project management objectives.
